Matrixeye

Matrixeye is an advanced ultrasonic (UT) inspection instrument using a combination of advanced Synthetic Aperture Focusing Technique (SAFT) and UT array probes. The advanced SAFT makes it possible to aquire three dimensional (3D) images and considerable more precise information of the inspected volume. With Matrixeye, it becomes possible to inspect many new materials for different applications where NDE technique is needed.

The Matrixeye enables a wide range of inspections, from traditional steel welds to complex composite materials and accurate spot weld examinations.Thanks to the increased accuracy of the inspections, component manufacturers can achieve significant cost savings due to reduced waste in their production lines.A lesser amount of “false calls”, i.e. false positives when characterizing the data from a component, may reduce the amount of componenets otherwise being wrongly labeled as defective.
